Live Oak trees everywhere!
As our name implies, the Oak Cove Community is full of beautiful live oak trees. See the photos below. The Live Oak trees are not only beautiful, but also provide shade and lower the costs of heating and cooling your RV.
One unique aspect of live oak trees (particularly the Southern Live Oak) is that they retain their leaves nearly year-round, appearing “live” even in winter. This gives them an evergreen appearance, unlike most other oaks that shed all leaves seasonally.
Live Oak trees are amazing.
Live Oak wood is also remarkably dense and strong—so much so that it was historically prized for shipbuilding. Additionally, mature live oaks develop wide-spreading canopies and massive, curving limbs, making them iconic landmarks across the southeastern United States. The wonderful shade from the hot South Alabama son is also pretty cool (pun intended).

Having an RV Lot under the Live Oaks has many benefits. First it just looks good (see photos), which helps everyone’s mood. Second the shade lowers electricity usage. Third, it makes it pleasant to be outside and eat outside, which everyone likes.
